Abstract

Interpersonal communication is an essential element of healthy functioning within society. At its core, it involves the exchange of information, requiring effort from both the sender and the receiver as they work toward mutual understanding. Exploring the essence of interpersonal communication is crucial for maintaining healthy functioning in both personal and professional life. Furthermore, it serves as a foundation for civilizational development, as creating a society based on shared values, goals, and knowledge would be impossible without effective communication. Yet, how is it that in certain circles or situations, people struggle to communicate in a healthy way?

The answer to this question can be found in Dr. Magdalena Cyrklaff-Gorczyca’s book, *Interpersonal Communication and the Psychological Aspects of Working with People: From Cultural Institutions to Business*, published in 2023 by the Scientific and Educational Publishing House of the Polish Librarians’ Association.
