[Jan Kasprowicz in Kornel Makuszyński’s Memory]

The article discusses friendship between Jan Kasprowicz and Kornel Makuszyński. The author of “The Hymns”, still during Makuszynski’s secondary school years, printed two of his sonnets on the front page of “Tygodnik Słowo Polskie”. Makuszyński demonstrated his grati-tude to the great poet for that debut until the end of his life. He published numerous memories of Kasprowicz in his prose, columns, and journalistic articles. He documented Kasprowicz’s connections with Zakopane and Harenda. In his texts, full of humour, he described the poet’s problems connected with purchasing Harenda, and he skilfully acquainted the readers with Jan Kasprowicz’s personality
